Micro Phlebectomy

1. What is Micro Phlebectomy?

Mini Phlebectomy, also known as ambulatory phlebectomy, is a minimally invasive procedure used to remove bulging varicose veins that are close to the surface of the skin. This technique involves making a series of tiny punctures or micro-incisions through which the affected veins are gently extracted using a special hook-like instrument. The incisions are so small that stitches are usually not needed, and they heal with minimal scarring. Mini phlebectomy is often performed in combination with other vein treatments like Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) or Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) to achieve the best results. Depending on the size of the varicose veins and patient preference, the procedure can be done under either local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia
